The TWUC AHOU Scholarship is a strategic investment in experienced underwriters who are actively engaged with TWUC and committed to continued professional growth, created in recognition of AHOU being hosted locally in 2026.
Applications are now open for the TWUC AHOU 2026 Conference Scholarship.
In 2026, the Association of Home Office Underwriters Annual Conference will be hosted in Austin, Texas. To mark this occasion, we are offering a special TWUC scholarship created specifically for this landmark year.
This TWUC-only scholarship invests in experienced underwriters who are actively engaged with TWUC and committed to continued professional growth.
Scholarship coverage includes:
• Conference-related expenses up to $5,000
• Hotel accommodations coordinated by TWUC
• Support designed to allow full participation in the AHOU Annual Conference
Eligibility requirements:
• Approval from company’s direct manager to attend the conference
• Prior attendance or company sponsorship for at least one TWUC event
• Minimum of two years of underwriting experience
• Experience in Life, DI, CI, LTC, Health, or a combination
• Completion of ALU 101, LOMA 281 and 291, or any two LOMA exams
• AHOU membership encouraged but not required
• Open to U.S. and international underwriters
Application requirements:
• Completed TWUC scholarship application
• A written essay (minimum 500 words) describing how attending the AHOU Annual Conference would benefit you professionally and how that experience would support your continued growth and engagement within the underwriting community
