In 2019, TWUC introduced an Educational Scholarship Program to provide learning opportunities for underwriters in their early to mid-careers who are passionate about expanding their underwriting skills and knowledge. In honor of the many contributions of founding TWUC member, Liz Collier, we are excited to announce the scholarship has been renamed The Liz Collier TWUC Scholarship.

Congratulations to our 2025 Scholarship Recipients:

Emily Hutchison from Principal and Danielle Coppola from CRL Plus as winners of the 2025 Liz Collier Scholarship!

Emily Hutchison

As part of the application process, we asked Emily why she wanted to attend TWUC. She shared:

"Industry conferences are as much about learning as the connections made, and I am looking for those opportunities. TWUC 2025 represents an invaluable opportunity to advance my professional development through focused learning sessions and networking with industry peers. In our evolving field, connecting with professionals outside of my organization and gaining fresh perspectives is crucial for continued growth and success."

Well said, Emily!

Danielle Coppola

We also asked Danielle why she wanted to attend TWUC. She responded:

"The two greatest aspects of underwriting is that there is always something new to learn, and our community is like no other! The best place for both is the Texas Wide Underwriting Conference!"

We couldn’t agree more, Danielle!
